The role of an ACCESS ministries Chaplain

Become an ACCESS Chaplain

ACCESS ministries Chaplains are committed to supporting the emotional wellbeing of students by providing pastoral care services and strategies that support the emotional wellbeing of the broader school community.

Our Chaplains are confronted with many issues like, bullying, cyber bullying, mental illness, substance abuse, sexuality, relationship breakdown, social isolation and family breakdown.

The role of ACCESS ministries Chaplains is to work closely with wellbeing and allied health staff in schools to support students by lending a listening ear, pastorally caring for those involved and referring students to other professional services where necessary. They have an opportunity to build relationships and encourage students to explore life with meaning and purpose.
