Back to School Appeal
Back to school. What does it mean for the kids on the edge today?
Back to School Appeal
Help a chaplain make all the difference.
For Sam, 'Back to School' meant a refuge from anger, violence and neglect at home. No-one made sure he was washed or dressed, or slept warm at night in a house - that was barely fit to live in.
Emily dreaded the words 'Back to School'. When her family broke up she felt hated and alone. Responding with disruption and aggression at school, Emily was headed to become another headline or statistic about bullying, suicide or binge drinking.
Emily and Sam, both so different, yet both desperately needed a chaplain's help.
Please click "Donate" to give young Victorians like Emily and Sam a chance to have a chaplain as they return to school in 2010.
