Requirements

Requirements for CRE teachers and helpers

• Attend an Accreditation and Training session (usually 9.30-3.00). Attendance does not imply an obligation to teach – please feel free to join us for the day and make a decision following
• Complete a volunteer CRE teacher application form
• Have your application endorsed by the minister of your church
• Complete an assignment and become familiar with ACCESS ministries and the curriculum you will use
• Visit a school and observe a classroom lesson
• Decide whether you want to teach alone, team-teach or assist in a classroom

Teaching / Helping

• Commit to teach or help each week in a school – 30 minutes per class
• Participate in a 6 month follow up
• Attend professional development at least once each year

Support for CRE teachers

• Each School has a CRE Team Leader who represents ACCESS ministries and leads and supports the team of CRE teachers
• CRE Professional Development training sessions equip and encourage CRE teachers
• CRE teachers are sent out into the local school as part of their church’s mission
