Vote for Chaplaincy Update
Latest news - Labor commit to funding school chaplaincy.
By contacting your local MP via our online email campaign, and demanding an extension and expansion of the National School Chaplaincy Programme, together we’ve achieved a result! The strength of our numbers has been noted. On Sunday August 8th, Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced that the National School Chaplaincy Programme would be extended until 2014 and that up to 1,000 additional schools nationally will receive funding to employ a chaplain.

We still need your help.
With the election only just over a week away, ACCESS ministries is calling on the Coalition to match Labor’s election promise.
Currently, the Coalition has said that it will extend the National School Chaplaincy Programme until 2014. We call on the Coalition to further increase the level of funding so that more schools, their students, their families, and their entire community, have access to a school chaplain.
The 'Support School Chaplaincy' link to email your MP is still operational if you would like to thank your MP for hearing your voice and encourage them to further their support of school chaplaincy. Click here to email your MP.
