Requirements

Qualifications:

To gain endorsement as an ACCESS chaplain we require a Bachelor degree in Theology/Ministry, Education or Counselling coupled with experience in the other applicable areas. Please attach evidence of completed qualifications with your application.

Equivalent Standing may be granted under exceptional circumstances. If you do not hold the required qualifications but have relevant training, professional development, experience and community knowledge which you deem may be equal in value to that of an applicant holding a degree in Theology, Education, Psychology, Social Work or Counseling, then you may be eligible to apply. How to Become an ACCESS Chaplain

ACCESS ministries require a 8 Step Process to become endorsed as an ACCESS chaplain.

1. Complete Online Application Form.
2. Provide Minister’s Endorsement and evidence of qualifications.
3. Working with Children Check and Police Check.
4. Receipt of positive referee checks.
5. Visit two ACCESS chaplains.
6. Submit a 500 word reflection on visitation.
7. Return copy of signed acceptance of ACCESS ministries Core Values and Faith Statement
8. Interview with ACCESS ministries endorsement panel.

On the satisfactory completion of all 8 stages you will receive formalised endorsement as an ACCESS chaplain. ACCESS chaplains will then be able to apply for advertised chaplaincy positions.

Minister’s Endorsement

ACCESS ministries requests a letter of endorsement by the senior minister or pastor of the church that you are a regular member. Police Check
