Become an ACCESS Chaplain
ACCESS chaplains are men and women who are committed to chaplaincy as a vocational calling. We believe the role of a chaplain must be taken up by those who are qualified and dedicated to the welfare of young people, their families, teaching staff and the wider community.
Our chaplains are confronted with many issues like, bullying in the schoolyard, cyber bullying, eating disorders, social isolation and family breakdown. The role of ACCESS chaplains is to share the love of a concerned God. Sometimes this care is expressed in words.
Is chaplaincy for me?
We are looking for qualified people who would like to consider their suitability further. We have staff available who are experienced in helping understand the role and demands of chaplaincy as a vocation, assisting you in making an informed decision. Contact us on 1800 063 341 to speak further or to arrange an appointment.
Who are the ACCESS Chaplains?
We support and place chaplains from a wide and varying background. Representing diverse ethnicity, our chaplains range in age from 26 to 50. We have placed chaplains who previously were legal professionals, corporates, social workers, teachers, counsellors, youth ministers and psychologists. We find one factor in common with all our chaplains, a desire to share the love of God beyond the church and into the community.
