ACCESS ministries Chaplains and Student Wellbeing Workers are people who are committed to pastorally caring for school communities. We are looking for people who are qualified and dedicated to the welfare of young people, their families, teaching staff and the wider community.

Our Chaplains and Student Wellbeing Workers are confronted with many issues like, bullying, cyber bullying, mental illness, substance abuse, sexuality, relationship breakdown, social isolation and family breakdown. The role of ACCESS ministries Chaplains or Student Wellbeing Workers is to lend a listening ear, pastorally care for those involved and refer the student to other professional services where necessary. They have an opportunity to build relationships and encourage students to explore life with meaning and purpose.


Is Chaplaincy or Student Welfare work for me?

We are looking for qualified people who are passionate about being a positive role model in the lives of young people. We support and place Chaplains and Student Wellbeing Workers from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages.

To become an ACCESS ministries Chaplain you require a Bachelor degree in Theology/ Ministry, Education or Counselling / Pastoral Care coupled with tertiary qualifications or experience in the other applicable areas.

To become an ACCESS ministries Student Wellbeing Worker you require a tertiary qualification (Cert IV or above) in Youth Work, Community Services or Christian Studies.

Please note that all applicants are required to have completed course content which includes mental health and referral components.
